Haight brings 40 years of experience leading non-profits to the organization.
The United Way of Marion County Board of Directors appointed Robert Haight as Chief Executive Officer of the organization. Haight replaces Scot Quintel, who served as the CEO of United Way of Marion County since 2015.
In his address to the Board of Directors, Haight stated, "United Way of Marion County has a long and rich history of serving residents through decades of change based upon our current framework of education, financial stability, and health. These pillars have been central to the United Way during our history while we have become more strategic in the past few years. Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Interim President and CEO."
In December of 2021, Haight accepted the Vice President of Resources Development at United Way of Marion County. Since he took the position, two new staff members have been hired in the organization's Resource Development department, and the 2022 campaign goal was set at $1.61 million.
With more than 35 years of experience leafing United Ways in the Midwest and Central Florida, he has launched numerous community impact initiatives, built relationships with Fortune 500 companies, and worked directly with other large non-profits to help communities faced with tragic loss due to a natural disaster or other unforeseen events.
